The U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Trend Report by Lodging Econometrics reported 5,975 hotel projects with 703,001 rooms at the end of the second quarter. Projects in the early stages totaled 2,747 with 323,914 rooms. Hotel construction starts in the second quarter reached 176 projects representing 20,056 rooms. Hotel renovations, including conversions, totaled 2,097 projects with 255,834 rooms, increasing 7% from Q2 2025.
