The U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Trend Report by Lodging Econometrics reported 6,020 hotel projects with 705,825 rooms at the end of the first quarter. Projects in the early stages totaled 2,785 with 324,444 rooms. Hotel construction starts in the first quarter reached 140 projects representing 15,546 rooms. Hotel renovations, including conversions, totaled 2,041 projects with 258,665 rooms, increasing 3% and 4%, respectively, from Q1 2025. See Lodging Econometrics
