U.S. wood products manufacturing sales in the first quarter of 2025 decreased 3.9% to $25.1 billion from Q4 2024 but grew 4.3% from the same period last year. After-tax profits fell 29.6% to $1.2 billion from the prior three months and were 22.6% lower than Q1 2024.
Furniture sales rose 4.6% from Q4 and 11.4% from Q1 2024 to $18.4 billion; however, after-tax profits in Q1 declined 35.8% from the fourth quarter to $506,000 and 38.1% from the same quarter in 2024. See U.S. Census Bureau
