Canadian hotel construction projects in the first quarter rose 9% from Q1 2024 to a record 341, representing 47,426 rooms. Projects under construction increased 13% from the comparable period in 2024 to 79, with 25% more rooms at 11,418. For the next 12 months, 96 projects with 13,849 rooms are expected, a 20% and 44% growth, respectively, over Q1 2024.
