Construction Spending Up in October

U.S. construction spending in October was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2.027 trillion, growing 0.6% from September and 10.7% higher than the same month last year. Year-to-date construction spending increased 5.6% to $1.646 trillion compared to the first ten months of 2022.

Private construction spending was $1.579 trillion, climbing 0.7% from September. Residential totals were $884.4 billion in October, up 1.2% from the previous month. Non-residential spending was $694.8 billion, rising 0.1% from September. See U.S. Census Bureau
