U.S. residential furniture factory orders rose 2% in November 2025 compared with October, but dropped 2% below November 2024 levels. Year‑to‑date orders through November were slightly softer as well, ending 1% lower than the same period last year.
Furniture shipments continued to weaken, falling 10% month-over-month and 6% year-over-year. Cumulatively, shipments through November were down 1% from the first eleven months of 2024.
Backlogs ticked up 3% from October, suggesting a potential shift in demand or production pacing, while remaining 1% behind November 2024. See Smith Leonard
