U.S. consumer confidence registered at 88.7 in November, down 6.8 points from the adjusted October reading, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions decreased 4.3 points in November to 126.9. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets dropped 8.6 points from October to 63.2, remaining below the 80-mark for the tenth straight month, indicating a potential recession.
