The November 2021 Architecture Billings Index (ABI) decreased 3.3 points from October to 51.0 according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. A score below 50 indicates a decline in billings. Design contracts fell 2.2 points from October to 55.8.
November billings were in positive territory across all geographic regions except for the Northeast, while firms in the Midwest recorded the largest increase. Firms of all specializations were above 50, with Residential seeing the strongest growth in November. See AIA
