U.S. residential furniture factory orders in November 2021 were virtually unchanged from the comparable month in 2020 but were 17% higher than the same month in 2019. Year-to-date orders increased 16% over the first eleven months of 2020 and grew 14% from the same period in 2019.
Furniture shipments rose 3% over November 2020 and year-to-date totals were up 23% from the same period last year. With new orders still outpacing shipments, backlogs jumped 50% higher than November 2020 and 148% over 2019. See Smith Leonard
