The monthly standalone seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of Canadian housing starts in November was 262,443 units, 8.4% higher than October. The SAAR of urban starts in November was up 9.2% from the previous month at 245,083. Multiple urban starts rose 10.6% to 195,281, and single-family levels were 49,802, increasing 3.7% compared to October. The six-month trend in housing starts was mostly unchanged at 243,268 units in November.
