November Architectural Billings Increase but Remain Slow

The Architecture Billings Index (ABI) rose one point to 45.3 in November, according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. A score above 50 indicates growth in billings. Design contracts improved 1.6 points from October to 48.1.

November billings were below 50 in all geographic regions, with the West having the lowest score of 39.5. All firm sectors experienced declines in billings from October. See AIA
