Canadian Construction Investment Down in May

Canadian building construction investment in May fell 1.9% from April to $19.4 billion (CAD). Residential construction decreased 2.7% to $14.8 billion, while non-residential totals inched up by 0.6% in May to $4.7 billion. Single-family spending declined 2.7% to $8.3 billion in May, and multi-unit levels dropped 2.6% from April to $6.5 billion. See Statistics Canada
