U.S. Consumer Confidence Down Slightly in May

U.S. consumer confidence in May registered at 117.2, slipping 0.3 points from April, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index.  The index measuring current business and labor market conditions gained 12.4 points from April to 144.3, while the short-term outlook for income, business and the labor market fell 8.8 points to 99.1 in May.
