U.S. Consumer Confidence Strong in January

U.S. consumer confidence in January registered at 89.3, rising 2.2 points from December 2020, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index.  The index measuring current business and labor market conditions dropped 2.8 points from December to 84.4, while the short-term outlook for income, business and the labor market jumped 5.5 points to 92.5 in January.
