IKEA Parent Company Purchases More U.S. Forestland

IKEA parent company, Ingka Group, recently announced the purchase of 10,840 acres of forestland in southeast Georgia from the Conservation Fund, an environmental non-profit organization. When combined with previously owned acreage across several southeastern states, the Ingka Group now owns roughly 136,000 acres of U.S. forestland.  The Group must abide by existing Conservation Fund agreements including one that protects the land from fragmentation and another that continues to guarantee public access to the land.
