U.S. Interior Design Billings Increase in October

The Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI), derived from a survey of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms, increased 3.2 points to 55.4 in October, after three months of unchanged numbers. Any score over 50 indicates growth. Index levels for firms in the South and Midwest expanded to 61.6 and 53.4, respectively, while the West and North continued to remain in negative territory despite some growth.

The index measuring new project inquiries in October rose 4.8 points to 57.5, while the three-month average improved 1.7 points from September to 55.9. The six-month outlook grew 2.5 points from the previous month to 56.7. See ASID
