U.S. Department of Labor Approves Woodworking Apprenticeship Program

The U.S. Department of Labor approved an apprenticeship for “woodwork manufacturing specialists.” The program allows woodworking companies to train apprentices while potentially qualifying for state tax incentives and federal workforce funds. Apprentices receive a national, accredited credential as a registered specialist and veterans could earn additional stipends through GI Bill benefits.
