CPA-Led Coalition Files Comments on EPA Formaldehyde TSCA Scoping Document

CPA joined with 11 other trade associations under the Federal Wood Industries Coalition (FWIC) to file comments this week on EPA’s draft formaldehyde TSCA scoping document.  The comments support EPA’s decision to carve out composite wood panels regulated under TSCA Title VI but call for clarification on the scope of the exemption as it relates to component parts and finished goods.  The comments also urge EPA to extend the exemption in the TSCA scoping document to those wood products that had been excluded from TSCA Title VI (and CARB’s ATCM) due to low emissions, including hardboard.  EPA’s comment deadline ends June 8.  See FWIC Comments.  More Info: Jackson Morrill
