COVID-19 Creates New Home Office Furniture Opportunities

A March/April 2020 survey conducted by Furniture Today found new opportunities for office furniture sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The media company’s survey of 500 consumers and 155 home furnishings retailers found that 25% of furniture retailers were expanding product lines to include more home office furniture to accommodate the new work-at-home demand. Similarly, one-fourth of consumers planned to purchase new office furniture due to the pandemic, with 77% planning purchases within one to three months. Desks accounted for 27% of the planned purchases, while storage cabinets and printer stands totaled 10% each. See Furniture Today
