U.S. Manufacturing Output Posts Historic Decline in March

The Federal Reserve announced U.S. manufacturing production fell 6.3% in March, the sharpest one-month loss since 1946. Wood products output fell 4.2% in March but rose 0.9% from the comparable month last year. Furniture and related product production fell 10% from February and was off 7.0% from 2019. Both industries had previously posted production increases over the past three months. See The Federal Reserve
