EPA Announces April 16 Webinar on TSCA Risk Analysis Fees

EPA will be hosting a webinar on April 16 from 1:00-2:00 pm EDT to clarify recent changes made to the list of stakeholders responsible for covering the $1.35 million fees for each risk analysis, including formaldehyde.  EPA has noted that, specifically, the webinar will cover:

  • how the agency's plan to initiate a rulemaking to consider proposing exemptions to the current rule's requirements impacts manufacturers and other businesses;

  • what the “No Action Assurance” means for importers of articles and producers of byproducts and impurities;

  • reporting obligations during the current comment period, closing May 27, 2020.

Questions may be submitted by Tuesday, April 14, to EPA’s Ben Dyson, which then will be addressed during the webinar.  Registration is required.  CPA encourages members to join this call to ensure a clear understanding of EPA’s current policy on payment of these risk analysis fees. See EPA Webinar Registration and Ben Dyson Email.  More Info: Jackson Morrill
