U.S. Construction Spending Falls in February

U.S. construction spending in February was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.4 trillion, falling 1.3% from January but rising 6.0% higher than the year-ago period.  Private construction spending decreased 1.2% from January to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.0 trillion.  Residential levels for February were down 0.6% from the previous month to $564.3 billion, and non-residential totals fell 2.0% from January to $461.5 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
