U.S. Furniture Factory Orders Down
U.S. furniture factory orders in November 2019 were 5% lower than the same month in 2018, according to Smith Leonard’s survey of residential furniture manufacturers and distributors. Year-to-date orders were 2% below the comparable period in 2018, a decrease for 68% of participants.
Shipments fell 3% in November compared to the year prior, down for nearly 50% of those surveyed. Year-to-date shipments were flat compared to the year-ago period, however 62% of respondents reported a decline. See Smith Leonard
