U.S. Home Remodeling Activity Increases in Q4 2019

U.S. remodeling activity in the fourth quarter of 2019 rose 3 points to 58 from the previous three months, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Remodeling Market Index (RMI). The current market conditions indicator increased 2 points to 56 and the future market index gained 3 points from the third quarter to reach 60.

The Remodeling Market Index (RMI) is based on a quarterly survey of NAHB remodeler members providing insight on current market conditions and future indicators for the remodeling market. A score over 50 indicates remodelers reporting market activity higher than the previous quarter.  See National Association of Home Builders
