Mexico Manufacturing Down in December
The IHS Markit Mexico Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) fell 0.9 points to 47.1 in December, the second straight month of rapid decline. A reading above 50 indicates growth. In particular, factory orders and exports contracted more quickly than ever experienced before in the history of the survey.
The PMI index is composed of five sub-indices tracking changes in new orders, output, employment, suppliers' delivery times and stocks of raw materials. See IHS Markit
