U.S. Housing Starts Up in November

U.S. housing starts in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.37 million, up 3.2% from the revised October estimate and 13.6% higher than the comparable month last year.  Single-family housing starts rose 2.4% from October to 938,000.

U.S. building permits in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.48 million, rising 1.4% from October and increasing 11.1% from the same month in 2018.  Single-family authorizations rose 0.8% above October to 918,000.  See U.S. Census Bureau
