U.S. Manufacturing Shipments Decrease in July

Total manufacturing shipments for all U.S. durable goods industries in July declined 1.1% from June to $253.92 billion. U.S. wood product manufacturing shipments were $9.08 billion, declining 0.6% from the month prior. July shipments of furniture and related products rose 1.3% from June to $6.96 billion.

New durable goods orders for all U.S. manufacturing in July were $250.18 billion, rising 2.0% from the month prior. Furniture and related product orders fell 0.3% from June to $6.88 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
