U.S. Furniture Factory Orders Fall in June

U.S. residential furniture factory orders in June fell 6% from the comparable month last year and were down 3% from the year-to-date total in 2018, according to a recent survey of manufacturers and distributors. Nearly 64% of survey respondents recorded fewer orders compared to June 2018, and 70% reported lower orders year-to-date.

Shipments decreased 4% from June 2018 and were about even year-to-date compared to last year.  Almost 58% of survey participants reported year-over-year decreased totals. See Smith Leonard
