U.S. Home Remodeling Activity Increases

U.S. remodeling activity in the second quarter rose 1 point to 55 from the previous three months, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Remodeling Market Index (RMI). The current market conditions indicator increased 2 points and the future market index gained 1 point both reaching 55 compared to the first quarter.

The Remodeling Market Index (RMI) is based on a quarterly survey of NAHB remodeler members providing insight on current market conditions and future indicators for the remodeling market. A score over 50 indicates remodelers reporting market activity higher than the previous quarter.  See National Association of Home Builders
