U.S. Construction Spending Unchanged in April

U.S. construction spending in April was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.3 trillion, which was the same as previous month but down 1.2% from the comparable month last year.

Private construction spending in April fell 1.7% from March to $954 billion. Residential levels decreased 0.6% from the prior month to $499 billion, and non-residential totals were down 2.9% to $455 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
