U.S. Consumer Confidence Jumps in May

U.S. consumer confidence in May registered at 134.1, rising 3.7% from April, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions increased from 169.0 in April to 175.2 in May, and the short-term outlook for income, business and labor market rose from 102.7 last month to 106.6.
