Interior Design Billings Increase in March

Interior design billings from the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms rose 14.4 points in March, bringing the Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI) score to 60.4, its highest level since May 2017. Any score over 50 indicates growth. Designers in all four geographic regions showed improvements in billings, with the Northeast scoring the highest at 52.8.

The March index measuring inquiries reached 57.8, and the six-month outlook score was 59.4, the highest score since July 2018. Nearly 93% of respondents believe conditions will either be about the same or better in the short-term. See ASID
