CPA Spring Meeting This Weekend; Meeting Materials Available
The 2019 CPA Spring Meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, FL begins this weekend with nearly 300 attendees, guests and spouses representing 120 companies.
The Spring Meeting program features a strong slate of speakers throughout the two days. The program will begin Monday, May 6 with retired Brigadier General Tom Kolditz, a thirty-year military veteran, author of In Extremis Leadership: Leading as if Your Life Depended on It and founder of the West Point Leadership Center. Tom will share his first-hand study, analysis and practice of leadership in dangerous circumstances and how such leadership can inform the practice of leading in business today. Tom is also the founding Director of the Ann and John Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University.
On Monday during the Decorative Surfaces Council meeting, Susan Milne of Epiphany Studio will share her expertise on the topic of “The Road to Architectural Specification.”
During the Membership Luncheon, CPA Board Chairman Jim Buffington will discuss the “State of the North American Composite Panel Industry,” followed by a presentation by Greg Lewis, Vice President, Wood Panels at Forest Economic Advisors LLC titled “Strong Fundamentals Will Support End-Use Markets through 2021.”
The Production-Technical Committee will host Tim Young, a Professor at the University of Tennessee, who will discuss “Industry 4.0’ – The Perspective from European Wood Composite Manufacturers and Implications for North American Manufacturers.”
Closing out the presentations on Tuesday, May 7, will be Frank Goecke, Senior Principal at Pöyry Management Consulting, who will provide an in-depth economic analysis of “Trends in China and Asia: The Impact on North American Markets.”
