U.S. Consumer Confidence Up in April

U.S. consumer confidence in April registered at 129.2, rising 5% from March, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions increased from 163.0 in March to 168.3 in April, and the short-term outlook for income, business and labor market rose from 98.3 last month to 103.0.
