North American Lumber Production Falls

North American lumber production through January decreased 1.2% from the year-ago period to 5.26 billion board feet (bbf), according to the Western Wood Products Association's Lumber Track publication. Through January, U.S. totals rose 5.8% from the same period in 2018 to 3.11 bbf, while Canadian levels fell 9.8% to 2.15 bbf. See Random Lengths
