U.S. Construction Spending Increases

U.S. construction spending in February was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.32 trillion, up 1% from the revised January estimate and 1.1% from the comparable month last year.  Private construction spending grew 0.2% from January to $995 billion.  Residential levels rose 0.7% over the previous month to $541 billion and non-residential totals fell 0.5% to $454 billion.
