U.S. Construction Spending Up

U.S. construction spending in January was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.3 billion, up 1.3% from December 2018 and 0.3 % above the comparable month last year.  Private construction spending grew 0.2% from December to $966 billion.   Residential levels fell 0.3% to $511.4 billion and non-residential totals rose 0.8% in January to $454.7 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
