U.S. Consumer Sentiment Rises in February

The U.S. consumer sentiment index for February was 93.8, rising 2.9% from January, according to the University of Michigan’s Survey of Consumers. Year-over-year sentiment decreased 5.9% compared to February 2018. The index measuring current economic conditions fell 0.3% from January to 108.5 and was down 5.6% from February 2018. Consumer expectations in February increased 5.6% from the previous month to 84.4 but fell 6.2% year-over-year. See University of Michigan
