Florida Timber Industry Details Impacts of Hurricane Michael

The Florida Forest Service recently reported to the state Senate Agriculture committee that it may take a decade or more for the timber industry to recover from Hurricane Michael last October. According to the agency, 75-95% of the pine trees located on nearly 1.4 million acres were damaged or destroyed, resulting in an estimated $1.3 billion in damages. See Tampa Bay Tribune
