U.S. builder confidence in the market for new homes in January rose 2 points to 58 on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI). All major HMI components rose in January with current sales conditions increasing 2 points to 63 and expectations in the next six months 3 points higher at 64.
