CPA Participates in Canada - U.S. Regulatory Stakeholder Forum

In early December, CPA’s Senior Director of Product Acceptance Eamon Monahan attended the Canada - U.S. Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC) Stakeholder Forum in Washington, DC. The event convened senior officials and industry leaders from both countries to hear from stakeholders on opportunities for regulatory cooperation. At a session on consumer product safety, Monahan expressed CPA’s support for Health Canada’s efforts to develop a formaldehyde regulation for composite wood and highlighted the critical importance of alignment with U.S. EPA’s TSCA Title VI. Monahan also spoke briefly with individual U.S. and Canadian government officials to encourage their involvement in Health Canada’s development of the final regulation.  CPA will continue to follow-up with RCC members in the new year to reinforce the importance of TSCA Title VI alignment.  More Info: Eamon Monahan
