CPA Comments on TSCA Title VI Technical Amendments

CPA submitted comments this week on the proposed technical amendments to TSCA Title VI.  The comments praised EPA for efforts to address a majority of the issues that CPA had raised in previous communications dating back to October 2017 and highlighted several corrections for minor technical issues, such as better alignment with CARB’s approach to the averaging of small scale test results.  The comments also called for a consistent approach to labeling, irrespective of resin type, as well as a proposal for certification of low volume, specialty products.  After the December 3 comment deadline passes, CPA will follow up with EPA to reinforce the importance of finalizing the amendments quickly to provide the marketplace with adequate notice prior to the March 22, 2019 deadline when all composite wood panels imported and sold in the U.S. must be TSCA Title VI certified.  See CPA Comments.  More Info: Jackson Morrill
