NAM Issues Guide to Building Apprenticeship Programs

The National Association of Manufacturing (NAM), through its Manufacturing Institute, recently published a detailed “Employer’s Playbook for Building an Apprenticeship Program” that can serve as a helpful resource for CPA members.  While the Playbook focuses on strategies and approaches for manufacturers to form meaningful apprenticeship programs, it also lays out a broader strategic approach to workforce planning that can be incorporated into any HR recruitment and retention program.  It also includes links to other helpful resources, such as templates and strategic reports.  The Playbook was developed in partnership with Dow Chemical and Siemens and builds on NAM’s experience in establishing successful apprenticeship programs. See NAM Apprenticeship Playbook.  More Info: Jackson Morrill
