U.S. Home Sales Fall

U.S. sales of new single‐family homes in September were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 553,000, down 5.5% below the revised August rate and 13.2% lower than the comparable month in 2017.  The seasonally‐adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of September was 327,000, representing a 7.1 month supply at the current sales rate.  See U.S. Census Bureau
