CPA Participates in EPA TSCA Title VI Public Meeting

On June 28, CPA spoke in support of several proposed amendments to TSCA Title VI at a public meeting held by EPA at its headquarters in Washington, DC.  The meeting agenda focused entirely on technical issues related to third-party certification and testing, with EPA inviting stakeholders to provide input on suggested amendments.  CPA’s comments reinforced the importance of seeking CARB alignment for the proposed amendments and also advocated for additional measures related to new mill start-up, including the need for an option for lot-by-lot testing with an EPA-approved laboratory.

HPVA Laboratories also provided comments that were generally aligned with CPA’s positions.  EPA staff appeared receptive to CPA and other stakeholder positions.  CPA plans to submit written comments by the July 28 deadline that support what was shared at the public meeting.  See EPA Meeting Agenda and Comment Portal.  More Info: Gary Heroux
