U.S. Architectural Billings Rise in April
The Architecture Billings Index (ABI) rose 1 point in April to 52, according to the AIA Economics & Market Research Group. This is the seventh consecutive increase for the ABI. Firms specializing in commercial and industrial buildings reported having the most growth in billings at 52.7, closely followed by institutional firms at 52 and residential firms at 50.7.
The ABI is produced from the AIA’s monthly Work-on-the-Boards survey, which measures whether architectural firms’ “billings increased, decreased, or stayed the same for the month ended.” See AIA
