U.S. Single-Family Home Size Increases

After a two-year decline, the size of new single-family homes in the U.S. increased in square footage in the first quarter, according to the U.S. Census and NAHB. Median single-family square footage increased 1.8% from the first quarter in 2017 to 2,436 square feet and average totals rose 0.5% to 2,641.  See NAHB
