U.S. Home Sales Fall in January

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in January were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 593,000, falling 7.8% below the previous month, but rising 1% from the comparable month last year.  The seasonally-adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of January was 301,000, representing a 6.1 month supply at the current sales rate.  See U.S. Census Bureau
