U.S. Construction Spending Steadily Rises in November

U.S. construction spending during November 2017 was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.26 trillion, rising 0.8% from October and 2.4% higher than the year ago period. Year-to-date spending was up 4.2% from 2016 at an annual rate of $1.14 trillion.

Private construction spending rose 1% from October to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $964.3 billion. Residential levels were up 1% from the previous month to $530.8 billion and non-residential totals increased 0.9% from October to $433.5 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
