U.S. Housing Starts Rise in November

U.S. housing starts in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.3 million, up 3.3% from the revised October estimate and 12.9% above the comparable month last year. Single-family housing starts rose 5.3% from October to 930,000.

U.S. building permits in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.3 million, 1.4% below October but up 3.4% from the same month in 2016. Single-family authorizations rose 1.4% above October to 862,000.  See U.S. Census Bureau
